By 2025 our founder Gerald Durrell would have celebrated his 100th birthday. We have set our sights on delivering significant change to the fortunes of threatened wildlife through a positive and bold vision for conservation.
In 2025, we want to see:
10 ecosystems across the world's major biomes being rewilded
100 threatened species on the road to recovery
500 endangered species projects working more effectively
1,000,000 people better connected with nature

It's just a Observation regarding the orangutans they all look like they are a species with Down Systrum .

What an amazing mother. She knew exactly what to do with her newborn. And her birthing position was optimal, letting gravity help. And the baby is precious. Their natural habitat needs greater protection.

Great video! I've been a member of Durrell for over twenty years and I've visited three times (I live in the US). They have managed to fit amazing natural enclosures in a very small space and they have done amazing work with their overseas partners and programs. The membership fees are reasonable and as are the animal adoption fees. With your adoption of an animal/bird etc you'll get a packet of photo and info.
This baby porcupine is adorable, all baby porcupines are, in fact, EVERY porcupine is adorable.

There is still hop for extinct animals the Quagga a 🐴+🦓 hybrid was hunted to extinction in the 18'th century for there 🍖 and hide the last captive specimen died in 1883 at artis magistra zoo and was bred back by a German taxidurmist named Reinhold Rau in 2022
